Privacy notice.
What personal data Metrilum processes, why it is needed and what rights you have.
Who controls the data
The data controller is Josef Haas, the operator of the Metrilum project. You can contact us about privacy through the contact form.
Contact form →Data we process
- When you submit the contact form, we process your name, email address and message content.
- To protect the form from automated abuse, we temporarily use a pseudonymised hash of the IP address. It is used only to identify repeated submission attempts.
- After you consent, Google Analytics may process information about the device and browser, pages visited and the approximate visit area. We do not send your name, email address or contact-form content to Analytics.
Why we process data
We use contact-form data to handle and answer your message. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with visitors; where a message concerns possible cooperation or services, the processing may also be necessary for steps before entering into a contract. We protect the form on the basis of our legitimate interest in website security. Google Analytics runs only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the cookie settings.
How long we keep data
We keep contact-form messages for no longer than 12 months after resolving them, unless longer retention is necessary for a legal claim or continuing correspondence. Only submission attempts from the previous 24 hours count towards the spam limit; older records are removed during routine cleanup. Analytics cookies in the browser last no longer than 6 months; aggregate statistics may be retained for longer without information that allows us to identify you directly.
Who may process data
WEDOS provides website hosting, email infrastructure and technical operation. If you consent, Google Analytics processes analytics data. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area using the applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
